# 2015 Administrative Division Changed Areas
The 2021 and 2022 data are based on the 2020 administrative division basemap produced, and are modified in chronological order. Data prior to 2020 needs to be back-derived, that is, the administrative division data at the beginning of 2015 is referenced to the administrative division changes throughout 2015, not the 2015 administrative division changes.
First, areas whose administrative boundaries have not been changed, including county abolitions and establishments of districts and county-level cities; this part mainly involves modifications of attribute information (including place name attribute, administrative division code attribute, county type attribute, county code attribute, former name attribute, and corresponding English attributes). Not all are shown in maps; the main changed attribute information has been listed in the text.
Then, areas with changed boundaries, with reference to the National Fundamental Information 2015 administrative divisions (currency 2012), the Ministry of Civil Affairs 2018 administrative division data, 2013 administrative division data (no source), and the 2013 national township-level boundary data for data updates.
